Alumni are encouraged to get involved by participating in the GRU Alumni Mentorship program. Whether a student just started their college career or is pursuing a doctorate degree, the lasting relationships that are built with alumni mentors provide valuable insight and career advice that will help to shape their future career goals. As mentors, alumni share their experience and expertise with GRU students about:
Academic Guidance – course selection, study skills, graduate school planning
Career Advice – job shadowing, resume critiques, interviewing tips, general career guidance
Personal Development – networking, hobbies, recreation
It is both the mentor and the student’s responsibility to keep in regular contact with each other. Mentors are encouraged to check in with their student(s) regularly in order to build a strong and lasting relationship. Mentorships are available and encouraged for our local and nationally located alumni utilizing communication by phone, email, and social media.
