Medical College of Georgia Alumni Association
MCG Alumni Association Membership
The Medical College of Georgia Alumni Association gives MCG graduates ways to connect with each other and to the University. Most importantly, the association fosters events such as Freshmen Brunch, Raft Debate, HOST program, and graduation activities that enrich lives and help students to build stronger relationships with other students and to the University. We have students not only in Augusta, but also in Savannah, Rome, Albany, and Athens. In addition, all funds from Lifetime Members are placed in an endowment specifically used to provide much needed scholarships. These are a few of the many reasons why your dues are so important.
Ways that you can be involved:
Attend regional dinners in your area or offer to assist in planning one if none exists.
Offer to host a senior student who is interviewing in your area for internship or residency.
Speak with pride about your history with MCG and read current publications so that you will know about all the incredible happenings and people. If you do not receive the Dean’s newsletter, let us know your e-mail address.
Offer to teach! Many of our students enjoy and learn from rotating into private offices and many alumni and other physicians are teaching our students all over the state.
Pay your dues (none required in the first five years out of school) and make a larger contribution if you can. Of all MCG alumni only 15.3% are dues paying members or lifetime members. We need your help to keep growing our programs that reach both students and alumni. Please join today!
